Before and After

So here is a pic of me in highschool. I am the one with the short pink hair. That was the only pic I had. I never called myself a punk, but everyone else did so whatever. And yes, that is a spiked collar around my neck. I wore it constantly, and got asked almost on a daily basis if it meant I was a lesbian. Ummmmm Sure.........

And here is me now. This is basically me every day. Hair pulled back in a pony tail cause I am just too lazy to do much else. So yeah, maybe I AM a minivan mom, but I just don't see it.

I went to BRU today and was very quickly reminded of how much I hate that place, and why I don't EVER go on weekends. Everywhere I turned were happy little couples registering for every little thing they saw, and not ONE of the mommies even had the slightest belly. Wouldn't it be nice to have that innocence back??? To think that pregnancy= baby again??? I hate them all. I really do.

After BRU, I went driving. MIL and FIL are coming up in 2 days, and I couldn't remember what the exit number was they needed to take, so I thought I would drive it just to see. I have a new vehicle, and it was Evan's naptime, so I had nothing better to do. Of course I got horribly lost (who thought having I-64, I-264, I-464, I-564 and I-664 all in one area should have been shot. I still get SOOO confused!) and got stuck in some MAJOR thunderstorms, but it was nice to be out of the house, and actually get to drive the van some to see how I really like it. And the sad thing is........I do. I miss my sporty little car, and the way it handled, but those days are over, and I am ok with that.

Rebecca, I plan on adding you to my blog list, just as soon as I can get the stupid thing to work. I don't mind being on yours at all.

Jill, My waking times aren't too bad, but it has been anywhere from 6:45am to 9am. I don't have an alarm clock, and just get up when I hear Evan. I pretty much consistantly get 3 hours of sleep in a row though. I adjusted my temps on my chart, but I wrote down the originals so I could go back and change it again. That's probably what I am going to do.

Guess I need to go clean up some since the in laws are coming. Oh yay.......

Nice to "meet" you! You're gorgeous! :o)

Being a minivan mama isn't the worst thing in the world, you know. Although, I'm still glad Steve drives it to work every day (he drops Sam off at daycare)...because it would just be too sad for me to drive on a daily basis.

Yeah, it IS nice to 'meet' you:) I don't know why but I imagined wavy hair. Oh yes I do know why - what a twit - because I met someone called Julie with wavy hair once. DUH. As it happens you have approximately the same fetching ponytail as I do. Best hairstyle in the world!

I have a tug-of-war happening where cars are concerned. I love small, but really do love 'sensible and multifunctional' too!

Oh - and your chart is tres confusing :S Did you have a cold or something at the beginning of your cycle leading up to O? That would sort out some of the temps if you had a slight fever. I hope the wait ends quickly - with a positive peestick of course!

Hee Hee! I totally didn't picture you as a former punk rocker. That's so funny! I might have to publish a funny old picture of myself...I thought I was right out of a Brett Easton Ellis book.

I have a minvan too and I LOVE it. Minivans rock!!!!!

Glad you are getting use to your minivan. And like you and Jill, I pretty much wear my hair in a ponytail most of the time too! (by the way, I liked you hair in highschool - I think you looked really cute, not too punk!)

julie, you look the same age now as in the "before" picture. i'm trying hard not to hate you for it.

and i love the pink hair; it is darling! if i worked in a remotely creative field as opposed to for a very conservative bank, i would soooooooo do the pink-and-fuschia-over-black thing! i think i was meant to have pink and black hair and some genetic wire just got crossed.

Do you still get carded when you go to buy alcohol? I bet you do, don't you?!?! LOL:)

Hehehehe Thanks girls for the ego boost!!

lol Jill maybe I'll get carded since I covered the grey hair!!

Cathy, just wanted to give you ((((hugs))). I know it has to be sooo hard for you to get in that van. That was how I felt when I got into the SUV we had when Caleb died. That's why I traded it for one of the least family friendly cars I could find. (which is what I just traded to get the van)And thanks for saving I am gorgeous!! You girls always know just what to say!!

Laura, don't hate me!!! If it helps, I am about 20 lbs heavier now and have to dye my hair to cover the grey.

i can't hate you, but if it's okay i'll envy you just a little. and hey - we all have to cover the grey eventually - risk being mistaken for our children's grandmothers. which reminds me - i need to get my hair colored before we start ttc since i can't do it again till the end of the first trimester. nothing like greys to dampen that expectant glow!
