Attitude
Ever since we found out that this baby is a girl, I keep having mother's of girls telling me all about attitude. "You just wait, girls can have the worst attitudes!!" Well, I know I don't have a girl, but trust me, I know a bit about attitude!! Take this conversation between Evan and I over lunch:
E: Mommy, I want some candy.
Me: Evan, you have to eat your lunch first, THEN you can have candy.
E: Mommy, I want candy. (as he is getting down from the table, food untouched.)
Me: Evan, if you dont eat, you don't get candy.
E: (SCREAMS) I. WANT. CANDY!!!!
Me: Absolutely not.
Later that day..........
Me: Evan, please clean up your dinosaurs.
E: (looking me dead in the eye) Absolutely not.

Stinker. I love that.
They all have their moments. And, for what it's worth...my observation is that boys are harder in the beginning and girls are harder in the end. It's a theory I have....
I think I agree with mb's theory. I know I don't write much about my daughter on my blog, but if I did it would be almost all positive. husband and I always say to ourselved how she is pretty much the perfect kid. She is a wonderful, compassionate, caring, fun 4 1/2 yr old who doesn't have an attitude at all (we did have a phase of temper tantrums when she was 2 and a bit, but that ended pretty quickly).
I know that will most likely change when she gets close to adolescence and when she's a teenager. But for right now I disagree with your mother. I think girls are great!!!!
ROTFL!!!!
Well, MY girl has plenty of attitude too LOL. On the other hand, at this age Alexander was such a holy terror that i refused to take him out of the house by myself. Whereas Chloe is still controllable, even though lately she seems to have some odd desire to throw herself into mudpuddles. So i think it's just that all children are different...
:) Too cute.
Hi, I have never left you a comment, but have lurked for quite some time. I am expecting my 5th baby..a girl, after 4 boys. I want to know who these people are who think that boys are soo much easier than girls. I certainly have some boys with attitude!! I have been hearing the same thing, almost nonstop. I also hear all about how girls talk allll the time, that this girl will talk more than all four of my boys put together!! HA! I find that REALLY hard to believe. But then again, what do I know, I only have boys. Anyway, just wanted you to know that I am hearing the exact same things.
Julie,
I think I've delurked before but I don't comment often. Can't remember how I found you.
I read this excerpt to my husband and he fell on the floor laughing. Hilarious! You have to be one strong Mama to handle that!
